Now a lot has happened in the last six months. I finally finished my post graduate studies (Professional Graduate of Professional Data Analyst). My husband and I bought our second home and rented out our first home (Our first investment property ). In purchasing our new home and getting it ready to live in I recently met with a lot of local Trades (Electricians, Plumbers, Air-conditioning installers and Tree pruners).
I was Happy to be able to support Small Businesses. In getting to know these people they all seemed to have one thing in common. They find their clients from customer and business referrals. But because of this they have very little online presence. Below are five easy tips that your small business can use to help get more traffic to your website.
1. Sign up to a Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile (GBP)
Is a FREE tool available that allows businesses to manage their online presence across the entire Google platform including Google Search results and Google Maps. It is the number one tip I advise all my clients as it is the most effective way to help your Small Business appear in local search results and will help you drive traffic to your website.
This FREE tool mainly helps small businesses that are location based as it allows you to be seen in Google maps based on your businesses location and the locations you service. However it can also help online businesses as it also comes with a number of tools that you can use for free, such as collecting customer reviews, listing your services and adding your social media links into your profile.
Did you know that “87% of users perform a daily Google search for local businesses”.
